NEW YORK, March 18 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 jolted Near Coast of Central Chile at 21:17:46 GMT on Tuesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 30.08 degrees south latitude and 71.50 degrees west longitude.
