NEW YORK, March 18 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 jolted 12 km SSE of Coquimbo, Chile at 21:17:48 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 64.0 km, was initially determined to be at 30.07 degrees south latitude and 71.31 degrees west longitude.
